Driving my kids to school, coffee in hand, dropping them off and then pausing to see all the happy faces and energy. Why was it beautiful- Because they are just so young and into today, not tomorrow or yesterday, just today. I am reminded how simple life can be.
I saw myself in the mirror. Okay, I was just being funny, well, maybe not. But really, isn’t it wonderful when we can look at ourselves and feel beautiful.
I saw the love and acceptance in my friend’s eyes as we sat in the warm autumn sun in Golden Gate Park. My heart is full.
I have been intrigued by the large Muscovy duck that hangs out at Stow Lake in GG park. He’d win most ugly sight, hands down. Today I saw his mate, a lovely almost snow white duck with tasteful red markings on her face–not the cancerous scarlet growth that makes Mr.Muscovy so hideous. I could see why they paired up. I’ll bet the chicks will be lovely.
The color printer was working today. It’s a beautiful thing because when it doesn’t print on Wednesdays, it throws off my PMO status reports printing for Thursday AM. It’s tough being a contractor on Wall Street at a big financial services firm that’s cut back on ‘expenses’ like pens and staplers and printer maintenance, but I still gotta produce…
My cat lying in the sun. Happy and content from a full meal. Looking at me and purring.
The beautiful thing I saw today was the glitter in Karen’s eyes when she brought her curly haired granddaughter around the office. It is beautiful because it made me think of the human connection: the proud legacy that the grandmother saw in the girl, the trust and dependency of the girl in the grandma to provide her with a safe and happy environment. To everyone in the office, the pair connected us with our own child within, made us smile and giggle more carelessly. How powerful it is when we feel the connection with each other. And that is a beautiful thing.

I spent the afternoon with David and Ruth, two of my dearest friends, who are in their late 80’s – they met at 40 and fell in love over a mutual adoration of coffee and travel. The beautiful most beautiful thing I saw? The love in their eyes – and their most exquisitely frothy milk mustaches from David’s homemade cappuccinos.
Visiting my cousin’s wife in the hospital and looking out over Duboce Park. The autumn light was very beautiful. Not to mention that my cousin’s wife was doing beautifully well after major surgery yesterday!

A picture of my nephews smiling from ear to ear. The twinkle in their eyes, so full of happiness and innocence is what made the picture so beautiful to me. It put a smile on my face.
Seeing my son conquer his fear at the play yard and crawl through the tree log like it was nothin’. He was so proud of himself! I just love seeing him grin from ear to ear and showing off his little dimples.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Beauty was seeing this game called Do Tell. What makes it beautiful is that I have been looking for something to bring our disconnected, somewhat broken families back together again. Something simple, fun and honest. I think my search is over. Hopefully, this game will be the right medicine.
Play our contest and win if your answer moves us the most. It's fun and interesting too! We bet you'll like it http://ow.ly/xniQ
The most beautiful thing I saw today was the glowing light in my eyes. There is a place within me where this light can sometimes only flicker. Yet as my day progressed and I was able to feel proud of my accomplished tasks and make connections with those I love- my light within rose…it was there I saw love for myself.

My son showed me how to tie a shoe…I thanked him for teaching me something new. The look on his face and his smile was priceless. It was our moment. A moment I will treasure.

Watching my daughter “take care” of one of her stuffed animals today was the most beautiful thing I saw. She made sure the toy had its own bowl of cereal at breakfast and, when the toy became frightened of the thunder outside, repeatedly assured it, “It’s okay, don’t be scared, I here.” To see her growing into such a loving, compassionate, and kind person warmed my heart.
